Petra Nemcova suffered from broken pelvis and some serious internal injuries. She was rescued by a Thai civilians on the top of a palm tree naked. Her fiancé died because of the Ocean earthquake.
After surviving the said tragedy she started a charitable campaign entitled "The happy Hearts Fund". She won several awards after that tragedy such as the Survivor Award from Glamour magazine.
